Panasonic ecoUpdate

The area and surrounding places of Krompachy city are to a great extend damaged by the long history of heavy industry located in the city. For decades the heavy industry poluted the nature, especially by means of releasing big quantities of heavy smoke into the air. In addition, in the recent past years, also intesive forestry did not help the woods located around Krompachy.

As the main target of Eco Relay is focus on children, we prepare some activities with local kindergarden. We know that it is very important to provide some environmental activities to the children as they will be major players in the next generation.

To consider how changing driving habits can contribute to reducing CO2. One of the organisations focused on CO2 reduction with which we engage in the UK provides advice on this subject http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/Cars-travel-and-driving/Drivers .

This year we have started planting our 5,000 tree's project at Cefn Onn, Fish Ponds Wood and Fairwater. These are in our local environment and local schools and is a follow on from our 5,000 tree's planted last year.

Within activities promoting ecological approach to natural environment on 20th of October 2009 PECPL received as visitors a group of 40 students of local secondary technical school.

On Saturday the 17th of October 2009 we carried out a training on ecological driving for a group of employees.

Staff will come to work by public transport, bikes and on foot if possible this day
